Crochet Stitch Pattern |Celtic Weave Stitch

Source: @crochetasauruscrafts

If you are a lover of the textured crochet stitch pattern, the Celtic weave is a perfect choice for you. This is a beautiful stitch made with front post treble stitch. It looks like basketweave crochet stitch. It looks like these stitches are waved in and out. This beautiful crochet stitch pattern is perfect to use alone or combine it with another stitch.

If you are working in rounds you only need to make front post treble crochet. But I am making a square, for example, therefore I am working with front post treble crochet in one row and back post treble crochet in next row. So that I can keep the texture on the same side.

The hats, mats and shoe cuffs made this stitch looks so perfect. I would love a summer hat made of Celtic weave while using jute. Make boot cuffs for a stunning touch of fashion. This stitch also looks amazing if used to make a scarf, gloves or cowl. Winter is here and every crochet is looking for something beautiful to make.

This stitch is an advanced level stitch. It requires moderate to advance level of expertise. In beginning, you may face the problem, but once you get to hang off it, it’ll become easy for you. It is best to use normal weight yarns that are not prone to splitting. Chunky yarns are not so suitable for this stitch.
