Chain Flower Stitch Pattern Diagram

Floral stitches are most liked stitches in crochet. In crochet, there are many patterns to make flowers but some of them are not for beginners. Today’s chain flower stitch pattern is so easy and beginner-friendly. The only need to learn this pattern is to master in 4 basic stitches.

This stitch pattern is suitable for making scarfs and cardigans.

stitches and abbreviations:

• ch     __  chain
• sc     __  single crochet
• tr      __  treble crochet
• sl st   __  slip stitch
• st(s)  __ stitches

Crochet chain stitch flower:

• Count ch 9 as 1 petal.
• Foundation chain: for making chain flower you have to make a chain that is multiple of 6 plus 3 stitches. Make a chain of 21 stitches.
• Row 1: skip 1^st ch, make 1 sc in 2^nd , “make 1sc, ch 9, slst in sc, ch 4, 1sc in 5^th ch, ch 9, slst in sc ” x 3. 1sc in last ch. (8 sc)
• Row 2: ch 7, 1sc in 5^th ch of  1^st petal, 1sc in 5^th ch of 2^nd petal, ch 4, 2 sc in 3^rd and 4^th petal, ch 4, 2 sc in 5^th and 6^th petal, ch 2, 1 tr in last st. (6 sc)
• Row 3: ch 1, turn. 1sc in 1^st st, ch 2, 2 sc in next 2 sts of the previous row, “ch 4, 2sc in next 2 sts” x 2, ch 2, 1sc in 3^rd ch.

Repeat row 2 and row 3 to get the desired length.
