Hello Ladies! I wish you a happy summer. Welcome to another blog on crochet coaster patterns. As we all love these tiny cuties. The best thing about coaster is, these are very quick project. You could utilize leftover yarn. You could play with colors and use as many colors as possible. The coasters can be used in various ways. We could found many patterns for crochet coaster but most of them are in round shape. So we decided to do something innovative. Save this pattern for later.

Pattern written in US terms

Abbreviations:

  • Ch: chain
  • St: stitch
  • Sk: skip
  • Ch sp: chain space
  • Sl st: slip stitch
  • Sc: Single crochet
  • Dc: double crochet
  • Dc2tog: double crochet 2 sts together

Special stitches:

  • Picot – p: ch4, sl st in 4th ch from hook

Pattern notes:

  • *( ) – repeat the following instructions the number of the times indicated
  • **[ ] – repeat the following instructions the number of the times indicated
  • The coaster is worked in rounds.
  • Ch3 in the beginning of round counts as dc.

Pattern for Crochet Coaster:

Create a magic ring.

Round 1: Ch3, 2dc in ring, *(ch3, 3dc) repeat * 3 times, ch1, dc to 3rd ch at the beginning of round.

Round 2: Ch3, 2dc, ch2, *(3dc in ch3 sp, ch2, 3dc in same ch3 sp, ch2) repeat * 3 times, 3dc in ch-dc sp, ch2, sl st to 3rd ch at the beginning of round.

Round 3: Ch3, dc in same st, 2dc, ch2, *(2dc, 2dc in next st, ch2, dc in ch2 sp, ch2, 2dc in next st, 2dc, ch2) repeat * 3 times, 2dc, 2dc in next st, ch2, dc in ch2 sp, ch2, sl st to 3rd ch at the beginning of round.

Round 4: Ch3, dc in same st, 3dc, ch2, *(3dc, 2dc in next st, ch2, dc, ch2, dc in same st, ch2, 2dc in next st, 3dc, ch2) repeat * 3 times, 3dc, 2dc in next st, ch2, dc, ch2, dc in same st, ch2, sl st to 3rd ch at the beginning of round.
