Abbreviations
- ch = chain
- sl st = slip stitch
- sc = single crochet
- dc = double crochet
- tr = treble crochet
Begin: Make a magic ring.
Round 1
Ch 3, 3 tr, 4 dc, 1 tr, 4 dc, 3 tr, ch 2, then join with a sl st into the magic ring. Pull the magic ring tightly to shape the heart.
Round 2
Work 2 sc in the space between the beginning ch-3 and the first tr of the previous round.
Work 3 dc in each of the next 3 tr (3 dc in the same stitch x 3).
Work 1 dc in each of the next 4 dc.
In the next tr (the point of the heart), work (1 dc, 1 tr, 1 dc).
Work 1 dc in each of the next 4 dc.
Work 3 dc in each of the next 3 tr (3 dc in the same stitch).
Work 2 sc in the space between the last tr of the previous round and the ch-2, then join with a sl st to the sl st from the previous round.
Round 3
Work 1 sl st in each of the next 2 sc, then 1 sl st in each stitch around until you reach the tr at the point of the heart.
Ch 1, then continue working 1 sl st in each remaining stitch.
Finish with 1 sl st in each of the next 2 sc, then join with a sl st to the sl st from Round 2.
Fasten off and weave in the ends.
